Pairing with Garmin

To track your steps using a Garmin device, you need to connect it to the Challenges by SportIn app. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure everything syncs properly.

1. Access the Connection Options

• Open the Challenges by SportIn app.
• Tap on the lightning icon at the top of the screen.
• This will bring up a slider with all available connections.

2. Select Garmin as Your Step Provider

• Scroll through the list of available connections.
• Tap on Garmin to select it as your step-tracking source.
• You will be redirected to the Garmin login page.

3. Log in to Your Garmin Account

• Enter your Garmin credentials (username and password).
• Grant the necessary permissions to allow SportIn to access your step data.

4. Confirm the Connection

• After logging in, you will be redirected back to Challenges by SportIn.
• A confirmation message will appear, indicating that Garmin is now connected.

5. Start Tracking Your Steps

• Once connected, your Garmin device will automatically sync step data with SportIn.
• Steps taken while walking, running, or using a Garmin-compatible treadmill will count towards your challenge progress.

To check that data is coming from Garmin access an active challenge and refresh after a few steps.
