To track your steps in Challenges by SportIn, you’ll need to connect Google Fit through Health Connect. This allows SportIn to access your step data and update your progress in the competition. Follow these steps to get set up.
1. Install Health Connect
Health Connect is required to sync your steps from Google Fit to SportIn.
• Check if Health Connect is already installed on your phone.
• If not, download it from the Google Play Store by searching for Health Connect.
• Open Health Connect and complete the setup by accepting the required permissions.
2. Connect Google Fit to Health Connect
Once Health Connect is installed, you need to allow Google Fit to share your step data.
• Open Google Fit.
• Go to Profile > Settings or select Get Started from the main page.
• Scroll down and hit Set up.
• Enable access and allow Google Fit to write and read step data by switching to Allow all to ON and then selecting Allow.
3. Connect SportIn to Health Connect
Now that Google Fit and Health Connect are linked, you need to connect to SportIn.
• Open Challenges by SportIn.
• Go to the lightning icon
• Switch the Google Fit toggle to ON
• Refresh the Explore page by dragging down
Once this is done, SportIn will automatically track your steps from Google Fit. If your steps don’t appear, check that all apps are updated and restart your phone if necessary.
